Through the Breeders' Cup® Challenge series, horses from around the globe have a chance to book their spots in the starting gates at Santa Anita Park in November.

Breeders' Cup 2019

Over the course of 80-plus races, horses can punch their ticket to the Breeders' Cup with an automatic and free entry. We will be tracking each race and keeping this list updated throughout the months leading to the World Championships of Thoroughbred Horse Racing on November 1 and 2.

    • Won the Cartier Paddock Stakes on January 5 at Kenilworth


  • Do It Again

    • Won the L'Ormarins Queen's Plate on January 5 at Kenilworth

Longines Distaff

  • Entropia

    • Won the Gran Premio Criadores on May 1 at Palermo

Longines Turf

  • II Mercato 

    • Won the Gran Premio International Carlos Pellegrini Stakes on December 15, 2018 at San Isidro Racecourse

Breeders' Cup Classic

  • Inti

    • Won the February Stakes on February 17 at the Tokyo Racecours
